These well-balanced
and highly finished weapons are made from a variety of Australian
hardwood timbers, including spotted gum, red ironbark and
cooktown ironwood. Variations in thickness can be made to
suit your personal preference, ie, thinner blade for a lighter
tip, or thicker blade for a heavier tip, however as they
are handmade, no two bokuto or shoto will be exactly the
same. The name of the timber and the artist's signature
is engraved onto the butt of the weapon as standard. Your
name in English or Japanese can also be engraved. Whilst
I usually keep a few in stock, for most orders, a wait of
3 to 4 weeks would be required.
