Stephen Seymour 5th dan

Steve Seymour

Began Aikido 1976 with Sugano shihan. Trained in Japan, Canada & New Zealand.
Student of Takeda shihan 8th dan since 1980 and currently his representive for Aikido Kenkyukai International (A.K.I.) Australia.
Drawn influence and tuition from many instructors, most notably, Yasuyuki Suzuki 7th dan of AKI Japan who has been a mentor from 1st dan through to 5th dan. Another major peer was Stewart Letford, 5th dan,the founder of AKI Aust, since retired. Progress has only been possible by the exceptional people of AKI, both as ukes, nages and dearest friends.

Simon Wong 4th dan

Began Aikido in Japan under Takeda Yoshinobu Shihan 8th dan and Suzuki Yasuyuki Sensei 7th dan in the year 2000, after 17 years of practice in Goju Ryu Karatedo and 12 years of practice in Tai Chi and Gung Fu. After 1 year in Japan, returned to Melbourne, Australia and continued aikido under the instruction of Catherine Schnell Sensei. Moved to Sydney in 2005 and have trained under Stephen Seymour Sensei 5th dan since then.
